Remember these 1970s/1980s alarm clocks with flaps? The same system is used by flight terminals to display the arrivals and departures. Even some train stations use them. Jacob & Co decided to use this flaps system in their latest, the Epic SF24.
If you are a Jet-Setter, a business traveller or a fake watch enthusiast, get ready for the last horological creation of Jacob & Co. This time, Jacob & Co decided to put the globetrotters in the spot light with their Epic SF24 timepiece.
Jacob & Co will unveil the timepiece during the Baselworld 2013 exhibition, but we already give something away by showing you the 3 different versions of the Epic SF24. Computer generated images of course, but at least it gives you an idea of what the fuzz will be about.
The 45mm case with a number of different finishes (polished, micro-blasted, satinized) will come in three flavours.
18 carat 5N rose gold, 4N gilt skeletonized hands with white Luminova 18 carat white gold, blued skeletonized hands with white Luminova 1NS Grade 5 Titanium, titanium skeletonized hands with white LuminovaJust like the Linde Werdelin we talked about last week (click here), the Jacob & Co also uses a movement based on a Concepto caliber. The mechanical self-winding Concepto based Caliber 2220, has an exclusive GMT-SF24 module developed by Studio7h38. The SF24 module indicates an extra timezone (using flaps).
And of course a close up of the technical looking dial of the Epic SF24 fake watch by Jacob & Co. This open-worked dial has a micro-blasted center, white Ti numerals and indices.
